Here is a summary of the creation account: Day 1: God created light and separated it from darkness. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This marked the first day. Day 2: God created the expanse or the sky, separating the waters above from the waters below. He called the expanse "heaven." Day 3: God gathered the waters below into one place, creating the seas, and made the dry land appear, which He called "earth." He also caused vegetation, including plants, trees, and grass, to grow on the land. Day 4: God created the sun, moon, and stars to govern the day and night and to mark seasons, days, and years. Day 5: God created marine life and birds, filling the waters and the sky with various creatures. Day 6: God created land animals, including livestock, wild animals, and creeping creatures.
