The Bride of Christ

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]A @Christadelphians Video: Description: The parable of the bride of Christ originates in Genesis and is fulfilled in Revelation. Having her types entwined throughout Scripture we can gain an outline of the development and characteristics of the multitudinous bride promised to the Lord Jesus Christ at his return to the Earth. [Inspiring] How often is the phrase “the Bride of Christ” actually found in Scripture? The answer may surprise you. In this thought-provoking and outstanding exposition, we embark on a journey from Genesis to Revelation—not merely tracing the word “bride,” but uncovering the rich and wonderful inferences that reveal the beautiful relationship between the Lord Jesus Christ and his ecclesia. Through insightful typology, we explore Eve, formed from the side of Adam, pointing to the deep sleep of our Saviour and the piercing of his side. We consider Isaac and Rebekah—a pattern of the Father sending his servant to call out a bride who responds in faith, “I will go.” We examine the apostle Paul’s profound teaching in Ephesians, where the marriage bond becomes a revealing window into Christ’s love for his ecclesia. Esther’s meticulous preparation, the poetic devotion of the Song of Solomon, and the prophetic triumph of Psalm 45 all weave together into a single, magnificent tapestry. Finally, we stand with John on the Isle of Patmos, beholding the marriage of the Lamb, the holy city descending as a bride adorned, and the Spirit and the Bride extending one final, gracious invitation: “Come.” This is a truly wonderful study, rich in Scripture and filled with practical encouragement for both the baptised believer and those yet to respond to the call. 📖 Chapters: 00:00 - Introduction: The Bride of Christ—A Missing Phrase? 01:50 - The Word “Bride” and “Daughter in Law” 04:28 - Jacob and the Father’s Inheritance 06:17 - Six Key Areas of Inference 07:13 - Eve: Formed from Adam’s Side (Genesis 2) 11:44 - The Deep Sleep and the Pierced Side 12:15 - Isaac and Rebekah: A Bride Called Out (Genesis 24) 15:54 - Ephesians 5: Christ Loves the Ecclesia 19:02 - Esther: Meticulous Preparation and Grace (Esther 2) 23:20 - Psalm 45: The Queen in Gold of Ophir 25:40 - Song of Solomon: Dove’s Eyes and Everlasting Rest 31:24 - Revelation 19: The Marriage of the Lamb 33:18 - Revelation 21: New Jerusalem—The Adorned Bride 34:35 - Revelation 22: The Spirit and the Bride Say “Come” 36:28 - Conclusion: Two Key Lessons for Today [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKtnM1i9-rA[/embedyt] 📖 Bible Verses Featured: 📖 Genesis 2:21-23 📖 Genesis 11:31 📖 Genesis 28:1-4 📖 Genesis 22:9 📖 Genesis 24:58, 62, 67 📖 Psalm 45:9, 14 📖 Song of Solomon 1:4, 15-16; 4:1, 7-8, 11 📖 Isaiah 62:3 📖 Matthew 10:35 📖 John 19:32-34 📖 John 20:25 📖 Romans 3:24 📖 Ephesians 5:25-27 📖 Hebrews 4:9-11 📖 1 John 3:2 📖 2 Peter 1:4 📖 Revelation 2:1 📖 Revelation 19:7-9 📖 Revelation 21:2, 9-10 📖 Revelation 22:17 Tags: Bible study, Bride of Christ, Christadelphians, biblical exposition, prophecy, Ephesians 5, Revelation, Song of Solomon, typology, Isaac and Rebekah, Esther, Psalm 45, New Jerusalem, marriage of the Lamb, ecclesia, salvation, Bible teaching, Scripture study, end times, second coming We are a Christadelphian team, Brothers and sisters of Christ, and we're passionate about delivering powerful, Scripture-based content to strengthen and inspire your faith journey.
