Re-Discovering Bible Truth: What is the Way back to God

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation="none"]A @Christadelphians Video: The Role Of Jesus as Mediator! with Bible student Jeremy Drury mumbles Description: Mankind’s need for a mediator goes back to the sin of Adam and Eve and their consequent exclusion from paradise. Moses interceded for Israel, eg in the matter of the sin of the golden calf, yet made sure that Israel’s worship was rightly performed. Likewise Jesus, the ultimate intercessor, was right with God in being a perfect sacrifice for sin and understood men in that he also was tempted. He alone has enabled a right relationship of God and man to be restored. We begin at the very beginning—the Garden of Eden, where humanity enjoyed perfect communion with God. When Adam and Eve sinned, that relationship was shattered. The cherubim and flaming sword barred the way back to the Tree of Life. A chasm had opened between mankind and our Creator. From that moment, God set in motion His wonderful plan of redemption. Through the pages of Scripture, we see this unfolding—from the promise of the seed of the woman who would crush the serpent's head, to the faithful example of Abraham, to the institution of the priesthood and sacrificial system. In this thought-provoking and insightful presentation, Bible student Jeremy Drury takes us on an expositional journey through the Scriptures, revealing how Jesus Christ fulfils every type and shadow: Jesus declared Himself to be "the way, the truth, and the life"—the way back to the Tree of Life. He showed us the Father's character through His life, His works, and His words. "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." His perfect, sinless life made Him the spotless sacrifice. His death rent the veil, opening the way into God's presence. His resurrection and ascension established Him as our eternal High Priest—one who understands our weaknesses because He was tempted in all points as we are. Christ is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises. Through His one perfect sacrifice, our sins can be forgiven and remembered no more. We enter this covenant through baptism—being washed and clothed with Christ—and by striving to keep His commandments. Having shown us the Father, Jesus now calls us to show Him to others. ## Chapters 00:00 - Introduction: Why Do We Need a Mediator? 04:56 - The Garden of Eden: The Separation Begins 07:52 - Job's Cry for a Mediator 10:49 - Moses: The Mediator at Sinai 14:03 - Moses as Intercessor 15:20 - The High Priest and the Tabernacle 18:44 - The Day of Atonement 20:33 - Melchizedek: The Priest-King 21:45 - Jesus: The Way to the Father 25:56 - The Disciples' Call to Mediate 28:10 - Jesus, the Father, and the Psalmist 31:25 - The Superior Sacrifice of Christ 36:33 - The Veil Torn: Access to God 37:37 - A Priest Forever 40:51 - The King-Priest Returns 43:44 - Conclusion: A Way Back to God [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBT6_iSDDb4[/embedyt] ## Bible Verse Category 📖 Genesis 3 (The Fall and the Promise) 📖 Job 9 (Job's Cry for a Mediator) 📖 Exodus 20 & 32 (Moses as Mediator) 📖 Exodus 24 & 28 (The Covenant and Priesthood) 📖 Psalm 82 (God Stands Among the Gods) 📖 Psalm 110 (A Priest Forever) 📖 John 14 (I Am the Way) 📖 John 10 (I and the Father Are One) 📖 Hebrews 7 (The Superior Priesthood) 📖 Hebrews 10 (The Perfect Sacrifice) 📖 Matthew 28 (The Great Commission) We are a Christadelphian team, Brothers and sisters of Christ, and we're passionate about delivering powerful, Scripture-based content to strengthen and inspire your faith journey.
