A @Christadelphians Video:
The story begins in the quiet hill country of Galilee, where the angel Gabriel appeared to a faithful virgin named Mary. He brought a message that would change history and fulfill the ancient promises made to Abraham and David: she would conceive in her womb and bring forth a son. This was not through the will of man, but through the power of the Highest overshadowing her. He was to be called Jesus, for he would save his people from their sins, and he would be the Son of God who would one day sit upon the throne of his father David.
As the boy grew, he waxed strong in spirit. Though he was the only begotten Son of God, he partook of the same flesh and blood nature as his brethren. He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet he was without sin.
Throughout his ministry, he walked the dusty roads of Israel preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He healed the sick and opened the eyes of the blind, manifesting the Father’s name and showing the world what the coming Kingdom would look like when the earth is filled with God's glory.
Despite his perfection, he was despised and rejected by men. In the Garden of Gethsemane, facing the agony of the cross, he submitted his will entirely to the Father, saying, "Not my will, but Thine be done." On the cross, he did not die as a substitute to appease a wrathful deity, but as a representative man. He condemned sin in the flesh, destroying that which had the power of death—the diabolos, or sin nature—thereby declaring God’s righteousness.
But the grave could not hold him. Because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth, it was not possible that he should be holden of death. On the third day, God raised him up. He became the firstfruits of them that slept, transformed from a nature of weakness and mortality to a nature of power and immortality. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where he now acts as our High Priest and Mediator, awaiting the appointed time to return to the earth to establish his Kingdom in Jerusalem.
