A Journey through the Bible

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css="" css_animation="none"]A @Christadelphians Video: #Christadelphianvideo #Christadelphianstalk #Christadelphian #Christadelphianvideo #Christadelphianstalk #Christadelphian #bible #bibleteaching #truth #holybible [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeaFBW1ihnA[/embedyt] The Grand Design: God’s Purpose with the Earth The Bible is a unified message revealing God’s singular plan: to fill the earth with His glory (Numbers 14:21). This plan centers on the promises made to the fathers of Israel and fulfilled in Jesus Christ, ultimately leading to a literal Kingdom of God on earth. The Old Testament: Promise and Prophecy Creation and the Fall (Genesis) God created the earth to be inhabited. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God in Eden, sin entered the world. Mortality: As a result of sin, humanity became mortal (dying creatures). Death is a state of total unconsciousness. The First Gospel: Immediately, God offered hope in Genesis 3:15, promising a "seed of the woman" who would crush the "serpent" (representing sin). This is the first prophecy of Jesus overcoming sin. The Promises to the Fathers The foundation of the Gospel was laid in the promises God made to Abraham and David: Abraham: Promised that he and his "seed" (Christ) would inherit the land of Canaan (Israel) forever and that all nations would be blessed through him. David: Promised a descendant who would sit on his throne in Jerusalem and rule forever. The History of Israel The Old Testament records the history of God’s chosen people, Israel. Despite being given the Law, they proved that human nature is prone to failure and sin. The prophets arose to call them back to God and to predict the coming of a Messiah who would finally succeed where Israel failed—a King who would rule in righteousness on the throne of David. The Nature and Work of Jesus is Jesus the Son of God, not "God the Son." He did not pre-exist as a divine person but was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. Partaking of Flesh and Blood: Jesus shared the exact same nature as all humanity. He was tempted in all points like we are, yet he remained sinless. The Atonement: By living a perfect life and submitting to death on the cross, Jesus destroyed the power of sin in the flesh. His death was not a substitution (taking our punishment) but a representative victory, declaring God righteous and opening a way for us to be forgiven. Resurrection: Because Jesus was sinless, the grave could not hold him. God raised him to immortality, the "firstfruits" of those who sleep. The Gospel Message The apostles preached "the things concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 8:12). Belief in this specific message, followed by baptism by full immersion, is considered essential for salvation. The Future: Revelation and The Kingdom The Return of Christ The Bible concludes not with believers going to heaven, but with Christ returning to earth. Resurrection and Judgment: Upon his return, the responsible dead (those who knew God's will) will be raised. They will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive either eternal life or condemnation. The Devil: The "Devil" and "Satan" in Revelation are not supernatural beings, but symbols of sin, fleshly adversaries, or opposing political powers. The Millennial Reign Jesus will re-establish the Kingdom of Israel, now expanded to become the Kingdom of God worldwide. Jerusalem: Will become the capital of the world. The Saints: Faithful believers, now immortal, will serve as kings and priests, ruling over the mortal nations to teach them righteousness and bring peace. The Final End After 1,000 years, the final enemy—death itself—will be destroyed. The earth will be perfected and filled with God’s glory, with God being "all in all."
